The collectibles of Studio FLINT consists of unique hand-made designs and prototypes. For developing high quality active furniture, a lot of research is required. This research often includes to make mechanisms, patterns or materials which can only be tested in a prototype. The collectibles are research probes for understanding the impact of physical design on the development of the brain, behavior and emotions. 

 

The Bambata water sofa is designed as an ice breaker. When someone sits next you you, the water inside the cushion makes the other person move. It makes the two of you connected. The design was developed for the Enriched Office, stimulating interaction between people. The Bambata can be ordered on request. It is also available with kevlar enforcement and in a variety of shapes.

The FLINT in studio

Studio FLINT - previously known as Enrichers - is a dutch design studio based in Rotterdam, is led by Govert Flint. Hence the name. Ever since he graduated from the TU Delft (Architecture) and the Design Academy in Eindhoven he has been designing spaces and furniture. Always with a focus on body movement in combination with its environment. Next to being a designer, he is a lecturer at the TU Delft and public speaker at conferences.
